Why Choose Cook Music Studios?

Cook Music Studios offers flexible and convenient scheduling, simple online payments, and most importantly, instruction tailored to meet students’ individual needs.

Emily has over a decade of teaching experience ranging from private and small-group lessons, clinics and masterclasses for high schools and universities, and leading high school and middle school band programs at public and private schools. As a performer, Emily has been lucky to perform with some of the country’s best orchestras, including the Grammy Award-winning Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and is currently a member of the Evansville Philharmonic and Carmel Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed with the jazz-fusion group the Afro-Yaqui Music Collective and served as the keyboardist at Dutilh United Method Church.

Playing music is a great way to exercise your creativity, learn to think and move in new ways, and meet lots of wonderful people. Learning an instrument for the first time or taking your musicianship to a higher level both require commitment, patience, and hard work, but at Cook Music Studios, music-making is about exploration and curiosity. Our focus is on developing efficient and effective practice techniques and deep musical understanding, even for young students, rather than chasing perfection.
